Description
You stand just outside the gates of an enormous desert city. Tall, sand-blasted walls rise high above you, sloping gently and slightly inward to deflect the sand from settling within. Tanned guards patrol around you as they inspect desert caravans that come in from the south, occasionally taking a bribe as they allow a few black-market items into the city. All around you, the desert spans as far as you can see, an errant whirlwind or dust devil whipping about the sand. To the east and west, the desert stretches without limit, while to the south, a worn caravan road leads into the desert.
