Description
You are standing in a tunnel designed to act as an overflow tunnel so that if the water level in the sewers rose too high it would fill and help alleviate the pressure and reduce the risk of flooding. Right now, there is very little water here and you can see the thick mold and slime on the brick tunnel floor. There is a huge brick pit here leading down into the darkness. Perhaps the engineers thought that this "well" would take even more overflowing waters back to the earth or some underground river? You could probibly climb down. The overflow tunnel here leads both east and west.
