By the Altar

Description

You are standing before a large, golden altar. The ever-lit candles that sit upon the altar and hang from mounts near the high ceiling flicker and cause the polished gold to take on an almost surreal appearance. There is a long, wooden railing which separates the main floor of the cathedral from the area behind the altar, which is considered too holy for unordained worshipers to go. To the west, row after row of wooden pews face the altar and, far in the distance, there is a large double door leading to the road.
