the old city, now blocked off by a brick wall. 
   South Central Square is just to the north while the southern city gate
lies to the south.

   Once, this square must have been a beautiful gathering place for the early
citizens of Kir Drax'in.  Now, a few scant algae-ridden inches of water is all
that remains in the broken fountain, and the ceramic tiles that must have
once been so beautiful have been ripped up from the ground and smashed by
countless vandals.  This square, just like the entire Southern District, seems
to have fallen into disrepair.

   To the north Main Street heads back to Market Square while to the south,
the road continues toward South Central Square.

a well-populated square to your north, and you can vaguely make out the

of the city's aptly named Southern District, the oldest section of the city.

the Temple of the Cross.  The entrance to the temple appears to be an atrium
surrounded by massive columns of marble with ornate carvings.  The sounds
of the city bring noise from all directions.

   The city's citizens file in to this large open pavilion once a week for
mandatory worship, but now it is quiet except for some battered adventurers
and their healers.  The main temple and the altar are to your north.  To
the south lies the city's main road, and sounds of the crowds there float
into this quiet place.

Southern Wall Road
  You walk along the wall road in the southern district of Kir Drax'in. Most
of the buildings in this district are in advanced stages of ruin, many of these
building's foundations predate the construction of the massive city wall which
towers above your head to the south.  To the north there is a relatively clean
building which serves as the city stables.  The wall road continues to the
east and west.

assaults your eyes and nose.  The wall road runs to the east and west.

   You are standing before the large gate to the city.  The portcullis looks

Main Street
   You stand on a street running from the Temple of the Unholy to the north
to the city gates of Kir Drax'in far to the south.  This was once part of
the old city, now blocked off by a brick wall. 
   South Central Square is just to the north while the southern city gate
lies to the south.

Southern Central Square
   Once, this square must have been a beautiful gathering place for the early
citizens of Kir Drax'in.  Now, a few scant algae-ridden inches of water is all
that remains in the broken fountain, and the ceramic tiles that must have
once been so beautiful have been ripped up from the ground and smashed by
countless vandals.  This square, just like the entire Southern District, seems
to have fallen into disrepair.

Main Street
   You are on Main Street in the Southern District of Kir Drax'in.  The
buildings here are ancient, crumbling structures inhabited mostly by the poor
and the faithful.  The street here is bounded by two squares - a bustling one
to the north, and a quiet one just south of here.

   You stand on a street running from the Temple of the Unholy to the north
to the city gates of Kir Drax'in far to the south.  The cobbles in the road
appear a bit more worn here.  There is a newly constructed brick wall to 
the east with an opening in it.  The brick wall appears to run the length
of southern Main Street.
   To the north Main Street heads back to Market Square while to the south,
the road continues toward South Central Square.

a well-populated square to your north, and you can vaguely make out the
southern gates of the city down the street to your south.  This is the edge
of the city's aptly named Southern District, the oldest section of the city.

   This busy square lies in the heart of the city.  Travelers come from
miles around to drink from the magical fountain here and explore the

   This large square marks the intersections of the Avenue of the Gods which
leads east and west, and Main Street which heads south.  North of here lies
the Temple of the Cross.  The entrance to the temple appears to be an atrium
surrounded by massive columns of marble with ornate carvings.  The sounds
of the city bring noise from all directions.

   The city's citizens file in to this large open pavilion once a week for
mandatory worship, but now it is quiet except for some battered adventurers
and their healers.  The main temple and the altar are to your north.  To
the south lies the city's main road, and sounds of the crowds there float
into this quiet place.

The Prison Entrance
   You stand at the southern end of a narrow passage which provides access
to three prison cells on the western side of the building. A door to the
east leads into a small walkway. The sounds of vermin scurrying away are
everywhere, as is the dried blood and bones. The bars have long since rusted
from the salt air and any piece of wood has become a haven for all forms of
fungi.

the wilderness while small walkways lead to the west and south.

time to survey the temple. It certainly isn't as grand as the temples of
Kir Drax'in or Aloazar but serves essentially the same purpose. To the north,

A Jungle Clearing

ocean. To the south you can see a clearing in the jungle before the trees
and undergrowth simply closes in and prevents you from seeing further. There
is a single tree in the middle of the clearing that appears to have some
